HARDWARE PLATFORMS

FINEST can be implemented across a wide range of platforms, including mainframes, mid-range processors and even personal computers. Currently the following environments are supported:

  1. Mainframe - IBM or IBM Compatibles:

    Operating System: MVS, MVS/XA, MVS/ESA,
    DOS/VSE, CMS, VSE

    TP Monitors: CICS, TSO, COM-PLETE, IMS/DC
  2. Mid-range - DEC, Wang

    Operating system: DEC/VMS/VAX/Ultrix
    Wang/VS
  3. Mid-range UNIX based platforms systems

    Operating System Hewlett Packard HP-UX, Sun Micro systems, Sun OS,
    Siemens Nixdorf SINIX, NCR System 3000 series,
    BULL DPZ, SCO UNIX 5.32, Windows NT.

    Memory required: 10MB of storage for about 6 users with approximately
    1.5MB for each additional user.
  4. Personal Computers .              

Operating Systems: IMB OS/2, SCO Unix, Windows NT, windows 2000

FINEST will require approximately 100mb of disk storage excluding data files.
